Parts of the Holtkamp case goods business sold to an investment group earlier this year have filed for bankruptcy protection in Germany.

Michael Mönig of Mönig & Partner was appointed provisional administrator by a court in Osnabrück, and will oversee an insolvency process for the Melle based producer starting from March.

He will examine restructuring options for the business over the next two months. The business will continue as usual in the interim period.

The administration affects the parts of the Holtkamp living, dining and bedroom group that were sold in February to Osnabrück based investment firm G2A.

Former sister company Holtkamp Exclusiv — together with factories in Poland and Brandenburg — are not involved in the restructuring process and are unaffected.
