Value furniture chain JYSK is launching stores in two new international markets this week with shops to open in Singapore and Greece.

The Danish retailer — part of the €3.1bn turnover Lars Larsen group — is opening in Singapore on Saturday, with a plan to open 20 stores across the country within the next five years.

Its Greek launch is in Athens tomorrow (24th September) with stores to follow in Larissa and Thessaloniki in October and another Athens showroom in November.

Owner Lars Larsen said: “JYSK opens two new stores each week around the world, but it's not every day that we open up in a new country. I'm really looking forward to meeting all the employees and, hopefully, a whole lot of customers.”

JYSK trades from nearly 2,300 stores across 39 countries worldwide.
