Confidence in the market will see many important industry suppliers step up their presence at the January Furniture Show next year.

The NEC event will be around a quarter larger in 2016, though much of the increase is down to companies committing to larger exhibition stands.

Suppliers including Nolte Mobel, Wiemann, Rauch, Forte, Lebus, Sweet Dreams, Breasley Consumer Products, World Furniture, Time Living, Steens, VIDA Living and Danalight are all upping stand space, some by up to 200 per cent.

The show—which takes place from 24th–27th January 2016—spans Halls 1 to 5 of the Midlands venue. January Furniture Show co-director Laraine Janes said care was being taken to control the event’s growth.

“While the show is bigger for 2016, around 25 per cent, it has been carefully managed to keep it concise and compact with a proper visitor flow around the halls,” she said.

"We have seen many new quality names joining us but our significant growth has come from existing exhibitors requesting more stand space. Our aim from the beginning has always been to keep the show focused and relevant so even though the 2016 will be bigger we are controlling the growth so that it's to the benefit of both visitors and exhibitors.”
