TK Maxx has expanded its store footprint with new stores in two South East shopping centres.

The off-price fashion-to-furnishings retailer is anchoring The Mall Walthamstow with a 26,000sqft two-floor store, while its new 27,000sqft store at the Buttermarket shopping centre in Ipswich is a relocation.

TK Maxx is part of the US-owned TJX group of companies and sells designer brands — often from previous seasons — across fashion, furniture and other predominantly non-food categories.

Store numbers at sister retailer HomeSense, part of the same group and specialised solely in home goods, remain unchanged at 39 following a flurry of six new stores opened in six weeks last autumn.
