The board makeup at European furniture retailer Home24 has altered as a result of its late autumn acquisition of rival ecommerce furniture website Fashion for Home (FfH).

Marc Appelhoff and Christoph Cordes, founder and CEO of FfH respectively, have joined the board of directors at the Berlin based group, with two existing directors to depart.

Mr Appelhoff will be responsible for marketing and merchandise with Mr Cordes leading Home24’s newly established commercial department. FfH (www.fashionforhome.de) continue to run as an autonomous website.

Home24 directors Constantin Eis and Axel Hefer are to leave the group, which trades across Europe and grew sales by 64 per cent to €172.3m in the nine months to end September, beating its 2014 total (€160m) with more three months of the year to spare.
