Foreign buyers attended in greater numbers at the Stockholm Furniture & Light exhibition, which took place in the Swedish capital earlier this month (9–13 Feb.2016).

Over 10,000 visitors to the show, which also allows public attendance, were from abroad, up from approaching 7,000 at last February’s edition.

Overall attendance was constant at 40,000 for the event, which is the most important worldwide for Scandinavian furniture and interiors design.

Other Scandinavians represented the bulk of foreign visitors, with attendees from Norway, Denmark and Finland up 35 per cent to 5,299 combined compared to 2015. Organisers didn’t disclose a UK figure.

Next year’s event is scheduled to take place from 7–11 February 2017.
