Participation in The London Fabric Show ramped up this year underscoring positive sentiment in Britain’s upholstery industry.

The event attracted 58 per cent more visitors to this week’s exhibition compared to last year, and 33 per cent more exhibitors.

Jackie Bazeley, md at show organiser BFM, said: “The 2016 London Fabric Show has been a great success. We are delighted that the visitor numbers are considerably up and have been highly complimented by both exhibitors and visitors on the quality of the show.

She added that the exhibition was growing and that “we already have a waiting list of companies wishing to exhibit next year.”

The show — which took place in the executive boxes at Chelsea FC in London — hosted fabric and textiles houses from Belgium, Italy, Spain, Turkey and the UK.
