Contemporary furniture franchisor BoConcept said UK market conditions had normalised after a period of significant growth.

In a third quarter trading update, the Danish firm said same-store sales here remained positive, adding that order books were solid going into the final quarter of its 2015–16 financial year.

UK revenue for BoConcept was down 12 per cent to DKK 15m in the three months to end January, though only because it sold one of its London shops to a franchisee last year, impacting the franchisor’s own share of revenue for the British market.

Total BoConcept revenue worldwide for the third quarter rose 4.3 per cent to DKK 289m, with pre-tax profits for the period up ten-fold to DKK 33.2m.

BoConcept said its UK store portfolio comprised 13 shops and two studios, with one further UK store currently in its future pipeline.
