Beds specialist Dreams says sales topped £230m as it expanded and refurbished its store network in 2015.

In a press statement ahead of accounts being filed, the national retailer said full year 2015 revenue advanced 16.2 per cent to £234.2m, with its trading arm making a £13.1m profit before tax, up from £400,000* 12 months prior.

The figures represent Dreams’ highest sales since 2012 — when under its previous owner it was trading from considerably more stores — and its strongest profits since 2009.

The Sun Capital Partners backed retailer opened a net 13 stores in 2015 to end the year with 170, adding that it had now refurbished its entire store network, at a cost of £5m.
