The store team at Bristol retailer Park Furnishers will remain intact following the sale of the business to home department store group Leekes.

Managing director Emma Leeke told The Furnishing Report that Park had “lots of long serving experienced individuals we are keen to keep.”

She also confirmed that the Coller family — owners of Park since its inception in the 1960s — would be leaving the business and not retain any shareholding moving forward.

Leekes operates from a number of locations including large department stores at Coventry, Cross Hands, Llantrisant, Melksham and Bilston.

Leekes plans to retain the Park Furnishers name. Ms Leeke said it was a “great brand with a fantastic reputation for excellent service and great quality products – we don’t want to lose all the benefits of this.”
