BoConcept says its Manchester store continues to trade following the franchisee behind the shop being placed into administration.

Tonnik Ltd was placed into the hands of Mark Colman and John Titley of insolvency specialist Leonard Curtis on 13th April.

The company’s directors are Nicola Wall and Anthony Wall, who are also directors of Tonnik Interiors Ltd, a newco incorporated on 8th March this year.

BoConcept Manchester is based on the city’s Great Ancoats Street. Before Tonnik Ltd, it was operated by a separate franchisee called Innerscope Ltd (see related), which went into liquidation in 2012.

The circumstances surrounding Tonnik Ltd being placed into administration were not immediately apparent. In a statement emailed to The Furnishing Report, franchisor BoConcept said “BoConcept Manchester is trading.”

It didn’t elaborate further, though it did say there was no further update from its Bournemouth and Bristol shops, whose franchisees Bethany Ltd and Bethany Retail Ltd entered administration in March.
