Harrison Spinks welcomed the Vice Lord Lieutenant of West Yorkshire to its Leeds headquarters last week as it collected its third and fourth Queen's Awards for Enterprise.

Tim Hare, one of the Queen’s representatives for West Yorkshire, visited the bed group's new Innovation Centre to present the awards to chairman Peter Spinks, md Simon Spinks and buyer Daniel Spinks — the three generations currently involved in the business — on behalf of the company.

The fifth-generation Harrison Spinks business, which dates back to 1840, was in April granted separate Queen's Awards for Innovation and International Trade (see related).

Back in 2013, the company was granted two Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, for Innovation and Sustainability, bringing its total count to four.
