Online furniture retailer Swoon Editions completed another funding round earlier this spring.

New accounts show the firm finalised a £3m investment in April, though it didn’t say if it was new or existing investors who had participated.

Swoon, a free-members website specialised in designs created in small batches with popular lines going into full-scale production, is backed by Index Ventures and Octopus Investments.

Octopus’ Simon Andrews took a seat on the Swoon Editions board in January of this year.

The latest fund-raise is thought to be the retailer’s third. Together with investors, it announced a £1.2m investment  when it launched in 2013, and made another announcement when it raised £4m from existing backers last July.

Both Swoon Editions and Octopus acknowledged the Furnishing Report’s request for comment yesterday morning but hadn’t responded at the time of publication.
