Bed maker Harrison Spinks has doubled its tally of Queen's Awards for Enterprise, receiving another two on top of those already awarded four years ago.

Announced today (Apr. 21), the Leeds company received one award for Innovation — for developments in mattress spring production — and another for International Trade, having trebled export sales to represent a quarter of all revenue.

Its previous awards — received in 2013 — were for Innovation and Sustainable Development.

"To be granted two more Queen’s Awards for Enterprise is a huge honour and reflects the hard work and dedication of the whole Harrison Spinks team, said managing director Simon Spinks.

"As a proud British manufacturer we’re pleased that our place in the international market has been acknowledged by the Queen’s Award for International Trade. We feel that our British values of innovation and quality have set us up for success in a global marketplace."
