SymphonyKitchKITCHENS maker Symphony capitalised on the growing private developer market as it posted successive record financials in 2016.

 

Sales jumped by 8.9 percent — or £16.3 million — to £198.97 million in the year to end December, building on double-digit growth the previous year.


The Barnsley cabinet maker said it had made gains in the private developer and retail sectors. Symphony also makes kitchens and other cabinet furniture for the social housing and student accommodation markets as well as owning fitted kitchens brand Charles Yorke.


Privately-owned Symphony saw profits jump 18 percent to £14.3 million, with year-end net cash moving to £3 million, from a £7.25 million net deficit at December 31, 2015.
