CHINESE living, dining and bedroom cabinet shipments to Britain jumped by a third in May according to HMRC, rising to £31.0 million.

The rise bolstered total case goods arriving into British ports for the month, which reached £97.4 million, up from £70.2 million in May 2016.

Data compiled by The Furnishing Report shows living, dining and bedroom cabinet imports totalled £416.6 million in the first five months of 2017, up 15 percent compared with a year ago.

In May 2017, Vietnamese cabinet advanced 1.0 percent to £11.5 million, with Malaysian goods up 25 percent to £5.1 million and Polish cabinets totalling £6.7 million, an increase of 16 percent year-over-year.
