LEEDS based Posh Flooring has merged with Chinese producer Anbo International, creating a £53 million turnover floorcoverings supply and retail operation.

The deal sees the combined group become a vertically integrated business encompassing manufacturing, distribution and retail, the companies said in a press release.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Posh has been trading since 2011 and turns over £5 million a year. Anbo International — set up by Chinese entrepreneur Guren Zhou — has sales of £48 million across the U.K, Europe, Australia and its native China.

The consolidation of both companies’ assets, including 21 retail stores and an ecommerce operation, is the precursor to plans to become the biggest wood and laminate flooring retailer in the United Kingdom within the next two years, the statement added.
