International beds group Hilding Anders is on the hunt for a new chief executive with current incumbent Alex Myers to take on a new role in the second quarter of 2015.

Mr Myers is returning to Gettinge group, a fellow Swedish headquartered conglomerate in the healthcare sector, as CEO after just a year with Hilding Anders.

“We do sincerely regret Alex’ decision as he has been doing an excellent job for Hilding Anders,” said chairman Anders Pettersson. “However, we understand that the opportunity of being able to return to his long-term employer Gettinge as Group CEO was too attractive to withstand.”

Mr Pettersson will become interim CEO until a permanent successor is appointed, Hilding Anders said in a statement.

Alex Myers said: “The twelve months at the helm of Hilding Anders have — although far too short — been an exciting and rewarding period of time for me. We have managed to strengthen our position in the market place in 2014 and have grown the business currency adjusted by 11 per cent. We stand strong and I will do everything I can to ensure a smooth and successful transition for my successor.”
