LUXURY fabrics and wallpaper company GP&J Baker grew sales by 5.2 percent to £18.3 million in 2015 driven by strong growth here in the UK.

British revenues jumped 11.5 percent to £7.8 million for the Poole based company, which in March opened a new showroom at Chelsea Harbour, London.

US revenues were constant in sterling at £7.2 million with sales to the rest of Europe up 3.6 percent to £3.4 million. Profit before tax inched 0.6 per cent ahead to £607,456.

GP&J Baker has been part of the US based Kravet Inc. group since 2001. Its new London space showcases all its brands including GP&J Baker, Lee Jofa, Kravet, Threads, Baker Lifestyle, Mulberry Home and Brunschwig & Fils.
