NORTH West soft furnishings supplier Evans Textiles Sales Limited says exports will be among its targets as it looks to build on growth in 2015–16.

The Manchester based textiles company grew pretax profits by 10 percent to £786,207 on revenue up 6.2 percent to £11.6 million in the year to end April.

Evans, which supplies products spanning linings for curtains to cushions and upholstery fabrics, said it expects both opportunities and threats to become apparent as the UK moves towards invoking Article 50.

In just filed accounts, owner Paul Callan wrote: “The company has secured control over a significant percentage of products manufactured and produced in the UK and will be targeting export markets as well as passing the benefit of UK production to customers.”

Around 95 percent of sales have been generated in the UK in the past two years.
