KITCHEN designer maker Designer Factory Kitchens has restructured via a planned prepack administration process, securing its future.

All of the business and assets of the company behind the brand — Karmik Limited — were sold to Karmik U.K. Limited, a newco under common control and management. The administrator is insolvency outfit Wilson Field.

Bradford based Designer Factory Kitchens employs 36 people, all of whom will transfer to the restructured business.

It had ran into difficulty after suffering two six-figure bad debts last year, Wilson Field and management said in a joint statement, which didn’t disclose the terms of the sale or outline the impact on creditors.
