FURNITURE makers are being invited to an update seminar on design and intellectual property law, hosted by the British Furniture Manufacturers (BFM).

Taking place July 5, the follow-up event will update on issues covered at the launch seminar last year, covering all recent changes in the law in relation to designs and brands which affect many BFM members.

Pre-eminent IP specialist Simon Clark, a partner at London law firm Bristows, will be the guest speaker at the Cranmore Park, Shirley event.

The session will provide advice and information on how Brexit may affect intellectual property strategies and how to maximise the value of registered rights. It will also cover best practice on design and brand attacks, terms and conditions for customers and suppliers, as well as what do to if someone copies your designs.

Contact BFM for more information.
