THE BUSINESS and assets of North West upholstery frame maker Formston Evans Limited have been sold to a new connected company following an administration process.

Certain assets were sold to newco Formston Evans Furniture Limited, according to a spokesman for the Manchester office of Royce Peeling Green, an accountancy and restructuring outfit.

Alan Coleman and Julie Webster, both of Royce Peeling Green, were appointed joint administrators a week last Wednesday, on June 21.

Bolton based Formston Evans was part of a privately-owned group called Sobecamo Limited, with a sister company called J.Phillips & Sons, a joinery business.

Formston Evans has historically generated annual sales of around £500,000. Owner and director Paul Norris was unavailable when The Furnishing Report called the company Friday.
