Creditors of Telford based ecommerce firm Monster Beds will meet this week following the retailer’s collapse earlier this month.

A meeting is scheduled for lunchtime this Friday at 1 Wheeleys Road Edgbaston in Birmingham, with London based corporate recovery firm Alexander Lawson Jacobs having been lined up to liquidate the business.

Monster Beds — the trading name of Monster Stores Online — ceased trading after losing the support of suppliers following earlier logistics issues relating to the December collapse of City Link.

It was the second insolvency for Monster Beds in three years, with Monster Stores Online having acquired the online store in a £40k pre-pack in February 2012.
