johnLewisFusionDepartment store chain John Lewis says customers are taking to its new Fusion collection as Home sales lifted 6.6 per cent last week.


The globally influenced product line — one of six interior styles across the John Lewis home offer — was a growth driver while beds, bedroom furniture and flooring were singled out among the categories.


Sales in the seven days to 7th February were up 4.5 per cent to £68.8m, with Fashion rising strongest (+7.7pc) and Electricals flatlining (+0.3pc) against last year.


Director of selling, North and New Format, Maggie Porteous said: “It was a strong week for the new Fusion range, which is not only highlighted on the seasonal mats in our shops, but also on the cover of the gorgeous new Home catalogue.”
