Oak-Furniture-LandAt least three more Oak Furniture Land stores are earmarked to open before the end of 2014 as brand owner JB Global continues to expand its store footprint.

The company has identified sites at Leicester at Fosse Park, as well as Inverness in Scotland and further south in Oxford — all of which it plans to open in December.

Oak Furniture is also reopening in Hull tomorrow — 29th November — at its 20,000sqft site at St Andrews Quay Retail Park, with a format to include its new SofaStore.com fascia.

Hull joins Burnley, Sheffield and Stockton as SofaStore.com concessions within Oak Furniture Land stores, with Croydon, Glasgow and Rotherham currently home to its standalone upholstery format.

Store numbers for the company — which grew sales by 77 per cent to £145.5m in 2012–13 — will be close to 60 by the end of 2014 assuming no stores are closed.
