Upmarket furniture design brand Lema is to open its first UK showroom with a dedicated flagship store on London’s Kings Road.

The Italian company will this spring open a 4,300sqft space over two floors. The ground floor will house the firm’s Lema Casa collection, aimed at residential customers, with a lower floor displaying Lema Contract.

Privately owned Lema is known for its made-to-measure wardrobes and — it says — for being the first Italian company to develop a load-bearing support system.

Its range also takes in other furniture lines including tables, chairs, beds and upholstery. It works with known designers such as Piero Lissoni, who besides creating product was also hired to design its new Kings Road store.

Its London flagship follows other international openings in New York, Miami, Beijing, Taiwan and Melbourne.
