The two editions of industry fundraiser Big Shots are fast approaching while June will also see the return of the Furniture Industry Sailing Regatta after a ten-year hiatus.

All three events will raise funds for the Furniture Makers' Company, the industry's only dedicated charity which raises cash for those in need in the furnishings sector.

The sailing regatta, last held in 2008, is taking place June 16–17 at Cowes, Isle of Wight and Hamble, Southampton.

Organised through specialists Britannia Events, the sailing will start early Saturday, finishing in the afternoon at yachting capital, Cowes, with dinner and a charity auction. Sunday morning features a final race before finishing up at Hamble for lunch and prize giving.

Theresa Raymond, organiser of the event, said: "If you have never sailed before and think it’s for the elite few — or you are just a confirmed landlubber — now is your chance to discover your inner Ellen McArthur or Ben Ainslie."

The sailing regatta follows this year's two editions of Big Shots, the longstanding clay pigeon shooting fundraiser.

Now in its fifth year and organised by Victor Giannandrea, Northern Big Shots will take place at the Coniston Country Estate, Skipton on Thursday, April 26, 2018.

National Big Shots will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at the E.J. Churchill Shooting Ground in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. Now in its 24th year, National Big Shots is sponsored by Furniture Village.
