European Furniture Promotion, the company behind Home & Retail, has been placed into administration
The specialist furniture logistics company trading as Home & Retail has ceased trading, leaving customers with a longer wait for orders and retailers with a distribution headache.

Staffordshire based European Furniture Promotion Limited — which operates from multiple depots — was placed into the hands of insolvency firm PKF Geoffrey Martin & Co, for whom Stephen Goderski and Peter Hart were appointed joint administrators on Wednesday.

The company has closed down and employees made redundant, though PKF hopes to find a buyer for selected assets of the business who may endeavour to continue its trade.

Home & Retail provides logistics and one and two-man delivery services to a number of online, general and department store retailers, majoring in upholstery fulfilment.

It is the second insolvency event for the brand in two years, with a former operating company — with whom it shares directors and owners in common — having restructured via administration in 2016 having suffered from the collapse of BHS.

Retailers are advising consumers that they should still receive orders, with PKF endeavouring to help Home & Retail's customers be reunited with their stock.
